A veteran Syrian politician said Monday that Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Ali Khamenei is seeking to change the global balance of power to the benefit of truth camp.
George Jabbour, a former parliamentarian and advisor to the late Syrian president Hafez al-Assad, told that the Iranian Leader's letter to Western youth calling for supplying arms to the occupied West Bank were among measures in this line.
Jabbour said that Ayatollah Khamenei's letter was a clear and comprehensive political call, full of ethical, religious and philosophical messages, warning Western youth not to be deceived by those who are after misleading them.
Ayatollah Khamenei invited Western youth to get to know real Islam and called on world powers, the US and Europe in particular, to stop supporting religious extremism demonstrated by the Zionist regime and Daesh terrorist group, Jabbour said.
Underlining the importance of the Supreme Leader's call for arming the West Bank against the threats of the Zionist regime, Jabbour said that with this act, Ayatollah Khamenei actually stressed the need for changing the balance of power to the benefit of the camp of truth and resistance.
There is no doubt that this will leave a positive impact on the will of Palestinians residing in the occupied West Bank, Jabbour said, expressing hope that positive impacts of this decision could be seen both in Palestinian officials and in the Arab countries claiming to be supporting the cause of Palestine.
